CREW MEMBER
Summary:
The Crew Member is responsible for performing a variety of work tasks (generally physical labor) in order to assist with the completion of landscape construction projects. The Crew Member will be required to operate a variety of tools and equipment to carry out specified job tasks.

Job Duties:
- Assist in the preparation of job sites prior to the beginning of a project
- Operate various tools and equipment, including chainsaws, jackhammers, laser levels, measurement equipment, shovels, hammers, drills, etc.
- Mix, pour, and spread concrete
- Assist in the construction of walkways, fences, decks, posts, etc.
- Perform preventative maintenance on tools and equipment by conducting inspections, lubricating, and cleaning on a daily basis
- Dig ditches or trenches
- Perform land clearing activities
- Plant and maintain garden beds and lawns
- Load and unload materials, tools, and equipment required to complete landscape construction projects
- Transport materials using shovels, wheelbarrows, carts, dollies, and hand lifting/carrying
- Assist foreman with job-related tasks
- Read and interpret blueprints, structural drawings, and specifications to perform work activities
- Wear appropriate personal protective equipment at all times
- Comply with all company policies and regulations
- Work in accordance with all local health and safety laws and regulations
Requirements:
- High School Diploma, GED or equivalent
- Minimum three-years experience in the landscape/construction industry
- Capable of operating required equipment and tools in a safe and responsible manner
- Effective communication skills (both verbal and written)
- Time management skills
- Knowledge of specific materials, methods, tools and equipment required to complete various landscape/construction practices
- Ability to work both independently with little supervision, and as part of a team
- Ability to walk, stand, crouch for long periods of time and carry out strenuous physical tasks
- Preference will be given to candidates with a valid driver’s license and safe driving record
Work Conditions:
- Ability to work with hand tools, power tools, small engine equipment, and materials
- Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs. repeatedly through an entire work shift
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Requires good manual dexterity
- Excellent stamina is required

Responsibilities:
- Daily Operations & Leadership
Coordinate daily crew tasks, site logistics, and time management
Set the tone for professionalism and productivity by leading hands-on work
Support onboarding, training, and cross-training of crew members
Monitor and log daily activities using company systems and apps
Conduct quality control checks on all properties before leaving each site - Lawn & Garden Maintenance
Operate zero-turn mowers, gas-powered trimmers, blowers, and other tools
Perform mowing, trimming, weeding, edging, planting, and garden bed upkeep
Maintain lawns and gardens with a high level of detail and care - Equipment, Safety & Maintenance
Conduct daily inspections and basic maintenance of tools, vehicles, and trailers
Ensure all safety protocols and PPE standards are followed at all times
Perform preventative maintenance including cleaning and lubricating tools
Maintain cleanliness and readiness of vehicles, tools, and job sites - Team & Customer Interaction

Carpenter – Job Description
Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Carpenter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in constructing outdoor spaces such as decks, fences, and pergolas. If you are detail-oriented, reliable, and passionate about creating high-quality outdoor structures, we would love to hear from you.
Responsibilities:
- Construct and install decks, fences, pergolas, and other outdoor structures according to specifications and blueprints.
- Measure, cut, and shape wood and other materials using hand tools, power tools, and woodworking machines.
- Assemble and join materials with nails, screws, staples, or adhesives.
- Inspect and replace damaged framework or other structures and fixtures.
- Follow all safety regulations and procedures on job sites.
- Work closely with Project Manager to understand the clients needs and preferences, ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition.
- Operate various hand tools, power tools, and equipment used to complete carpentry duties, including: circular saw, table saw, router, pneumatic nail gun, ramset, drills, and other tools used for measuring, cutting, fastening, and drilling
- Prepare layouts and build foundations
- Help to schedule and co-ordinate work on jobsites
- Load and unload materials, tools, and equipment required to complete landscape construction projects
- Complete and submit daily paperwork reporting time and job costs
- Be equipped with appropriate PPE at all times. Ensure any laborers/crew members also equipped with appropriate PPE
- Provide guidance and support to junior carpenters and apprentices as needed.
- Estimate material requirements and costs for projects.
- Collaborate with other construction professionals, including electricians and plumbers, to ensure seamless project completion
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a carpenter, with a focus on outdoor spaces.
- Proficiency in using carpentry tools and machinery.
- Completion of an apprenticeship program or technical training in carpentry is preferred
- Minimum of one-year experience in the landscape / construction industry.
- Strong knowledge of building codes and safety regulations.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Good physical condition and stamina.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
